Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know before coming to an HSJ Fitness class.
Are the classes suitable for beginners?
Yes. Helen's classes are welcoming and suitable for different abilities. Variations are provided where needed, so you can work at a level that's appropriate for you.
What should I wear?
For Pilates and Pilates Tone, wear comfortable, non-restrictive clothing. Layers can be useful. You don't need footwear during the class; socks or grip socks are fine. For LTB, wear comfortable gym clothing and trainers.
What should I bring to class?
Please bring your own exercise mat. Helen provides the other equipment needed for the class, including dumbbells for Pilates Tone.
What if I have an injury or there's something Helen should know about?
If you're new to the class, have an injury or there's anything that may affect your exercise, please contact Helen before attending so she can advise you and provide suitable variations where appropriate.
Is there parking at Capel Gosen?
Yes, but parking is limited. Please allow a little extra time before your class and car share where possible.
What happens if I need to cancel my booking?
Please cancel or reschedule at least 12 hours before your class for a refund or class swap. Cancellations within 12 hours are normally non-refundable and cannot normally be transferred to another class.
Can HSJ Fitness cancel a class?
Occasionally a class may need to be cancelled if fewer than five people have booked. If this happens, Helen will let you know as soon as possible and arrange a refund or suitable alternative.
How do I book and pay for a class?
You can view available HSJ Fitness classes and book your place online through this website. Payment can be made as part of the booking process.
